THE CONTEXT
Expanding access. Strengthening communities.
Across Sierra Leone, thousands of households, schools and healthcare facilities continue to face limited or unreliable electricity access. Through the World Bank-supported Enhancing Sierra Leone Energy Access Project (ESLEAP), the Ministry of Energy is expanding clean energy infrastructure through mini-grids, standalone solar systems and rural electrification initiatives to improve quality of life and unlock economic opportunity.
